Synonymous with its butch SUVs and off-roaders, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility has taken a new initiative to convert last-mile mobility to electric. Progressing in the same pursuit, the brand today unveiled its all-new lineup addition, the Mahindra UDO. Even though it is a utilitarian vehicle, the UDO provides its users with the frills and features of luxury vehicles.
Mahindra has reworked the fundamental concept of a three-wheeler and changed its most fundamental aspects for good. The UDO, as per the brand, draws inspiration from aircraft. The company seeks to initiate the commencement of a new chapter in the last-mile mobility dynamic. The Mahindra UDO has been priced at Rs 3,84,299 (ex-showroom), but for a limited period, it will be offered at Rs 3,58,999.
The Right Blend of Performance and Power
Mahindra UDO delivers a best-in-class real-world range of 200 km and a 265 km ARAI-certified range. The UDO is powered by an IP67-rated, 11.7 kWh laser-welded Li-ion battery pack. The PMS motor, an integral part of the drivetrain, delivers 10 kW of peak power and 52 Nm of peak torque. As a further add-on, the three-wheeler is now equipped with regenerative braking as well as a first-in-class reverse throttle.
Hill-hold assist and creep functions in the Mahindra UDO further help it stand out. These features assist the driver in navigating heavy traffic with ease.
Safety
The Mahindra UDO is backed by a confidence-inspiring warranty of 1.5 lakh km or 6 years, whichever is earlier. The presence of an IP67-rated battery, drivetrain, and charger further ensures that the UDO can continue its journey even in extreme weather conditions. The vehicle is equipped with tubeless tyres on both ends.
Mahindra’s confidence in the UDO is reflected in its industry-first free service coverage up to 1 lakh km. When a customer purchases the UDO, they are enrolled in Mahindra’s UDAY NXT scheme, which provides ₹20 lakh accidental insurance coverage to the vehicle owner, along with financial counselling and additional benefits.
With its striking design, segment-first features, and Mahindra’s trusted reliability, the UDO is poised to accelerate electrification in the L5M category. The Mahindra UDO is manufactured at the company’s advanced facility in Zaheerabad, where significant investments have been made, including a new automated battery assembly unit as well as robotised production lines.
