New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Monday launched the WEGO P9018 at ₹4,41,247 (ex-showroom pan-India). A new electric three-wheeler positioned for long-distance and high-volume passenger transport, as the company expands its electric mobility portfolio in the commercial vehicle segment.
The WEGO P9018 is equipped with a 17.7 kWh battery and offers a certified range of 296 km on a single charge. Bajaj Auto said the model is designed to cater to mobility requirements across urban, semi-urban and rural markets, with a focus on higher passenger and luggage capacity.
According to the company’s statement, the vehicle features an upgraded battery management system, enhanced regenerative braking, and a two-speed transmission. It also offers 36 per cent gradability and comes with a five-year warranty, aimed at improving operational reliability under varied operating conditions.
Samardeep Subandh, president, intra-city business unit, Bajaj Auto, said the WEGO P9018 is positioned to meet demand for higher-capacity electric three-wheelers with longer range. He added that the model is intended to support operators seeking improved utilisation and earnings over medium to longer routes.
The launch marks the introduction of the WEGO brand in Bajaj Auto’s electric three-wheeler portfolio. The company said the brand reflects its focus on passenger mobility and last-mile transport.
