BMW F450 RR Spied

This test mule has been camouflaged well, but we can spot a few design elements that help us identify it. Firstly, despite the camouflage and its supporting structure, the flaring is evident, indicating it is a sportsbike. If you look closely, you can spot the BMW branding on the brake calipers. You can also spot the rotary mode selector switch on the left-hand grip (similiar to the one used in the S1000RR). Moreover, this test mule features vertically stacked headlights and resembles those of the recently spotted F450 GS. You can also see the brake light integrated taillights.

The pinion seats on this test mule also seem better cushioned, which means a more comfortable ride for the passenger. Interestingly, the driving position isn’t as aggressive as you would expect from such a sports bike.

Features and Specifications

The F450 RR would get the 450 cc parallel twin engine (48 bhp & 45 Nm). This motor will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Some features we expect include a fully adjustable suspension and a bi-directional quickshifter. The test mule seems to miss out on upside-down folks, but it is fair to expect that BMW would offer this with the production-spec variant.

Given that it is a BMW, the bike won’t come cheap. We expect it to be priced at Rs 6 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Could we see TVS release an Apache RR 450 as a part of its partnership? Let us know your thoughts below.
