Serviced at an independent garage. Mechanics said that, as it had a small run in Australia, parts can take a while to arrive.
One of the sensors needed replacing, but at $300, I declined (sensor triggers windscreen defogging, which I can do myself anyway).

Yes
Has a lot of torque from 1500rpm. Feels very sporty, fun to drive, and responsive. Suspension is firm yet compliant, and Aussie-tuned.
Recaro seats are a godsend. Audio system screen horrible design; easy to upgrade that. Can’t easily access the rear seat.
The design struck a chord with friends who all thought it was European, maybe due to the daytime-running lights.

Kia cheaped out on the paint, using only one or two coats. Impossible to do a cut and polish – will have to get a closed-door respray to address badly faded areas.
Its compact, low dimensions mean entry/exit are a challenge, so I roll the seat all the way back. Nice touches are puddle lamps under the exterior mirrors, footwell lamps, and a lamp in the glovebox. The indicator is on the left, Euro-style, which is easy to get used to.
My car is grey, and I would prefer either black or white, but this car had a small run, so there are few choices.
Two issues in the engine are poor oil control rings, and direct injection means no fuel washing valves, so the PCV dumps lots of oil vapours onto the intake valve and manifold, which will cost heaps to clean via walnut blasting.
Large glasshouse means visibility is better than expected, although anyone in the back seat will feel claustrophobic.
Insurance costs are a pleasant surprise and much lower than I expected for a limited-run sporty turbo. Overall, this car is very enjoyable and puts a smile on the dial.
